boy and a girl playing video gameAs more of the countries population gets access to the internet, the average age of the population that is actually able to browse it is getting younger.  Today, more children are able to swipe their way through the internet on mom’s iPad or even grab dad’s smartphone to play that puzzle game with the cool sounds.  Either way you look at it, younger children are able to get online and as parents, it is very important that you make sure they find their way to sites and games that are safe for them.

Today, I though we would put together a list of places that parents can send their children to play games online.  Some games are very simple and will just pass time by, while others will teach your child and keep their mind and imagination sharp as a tack.  Experts say that children that have an active imagination are more likely to have a more developed brain over the first 3 years of his/her life.  Interactive games are one easy way to help jump start the brain.

One of the first places that you can check out, depending on the age of your children, is FischerPrice.com.  The website is full of interactive and easy to play games and puzzles for children to play.  In order to navigate the site, you can sort the games via the left side menu which gives you options like “infant”, “toddler” and “preschool”.  From there you can sort by favorite character or even shows the child might have seen specific television channels.

Kidsgames.org is another place where a child with limited experience with the internet can play and learn all at the same time.  The games are sorted via into categories like coordination, racing and puzzle games.  The games load fast and they are easy to learn, which is perfect for young children.

One specific game for kids that might be a little older is called “Monster Island” and it is available here.  The game is free to play and basically allows children to get rid of a plague of colorful monsters that have taken over Monster Island.  Children are equipped with bombs and even though the game is colorful and childish, it can be very fun for older children to play.  If you child gets a fear of monsters after playing this game, that might be a good time to introduce them to our Monster Security System located in our shop.

So, in case you don’t know where to take your kids online, here is a short list of places that are not only safe for them to play on, but also cost you nothing as a parent. If you have any websites that you would like to share with us, feel free to post them in the comments area below this post.  Enjoy!
